Prayer Retreat

Last Wednesday, we held our first Prayer Retreat! If you pray for our church, we truly consider you the anchor of the church! We had a blessed time learning about and practicing different styles of prayer, including Centering Prayer, Labyrinth Prayer, Pop-up Prayer, and Intercessory Prayer. We prayed deeply for each other and for our community.

Next Prayer Meeting: Tuesday, November 19th, from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM.

  • Our daily prayer by Pastor Joyce Kang

  • Invitation: Everyone who needs our prayers and anyone interested in praying for others is welcome to join us.  “This kind can come out only by prayer.” (Mark 9:29)

All Saints Sunday Remembrance

Yesterday, we celebrated All Saints Sunday, the day we remember the faithful departed. This day honors all Christian people, past and present, from every time and place. We celebrate the Communion of Saints as we remember those from the church universal and from our own local congregation.

We remember especially this year:

  • Kenneth Perkins, faithful member for 24 years.

  • Marjorie Heath, beloved member for 72 years.

We also give thanks for friends and community members during the last year:

Rev. Thomas Chandler, Fred Quint, Lewis Arnold, Donalen Dall, Donald Grant, and Loren Goode.

  • Recent death: Chelsey Ann Weeks, John Marr, Joyce Cummings, T.J. Ryan, John Flannery, Loren Goode, Jackie Sponseller, Phil Sherman, David Guy, Tom Brown, Joseph Ewings, and others.

We lit candles in memory of several members and loved ones, including: Ray Thomson (Karen’s husband); Jean Fournier, Suzanne Russel, Donald Fournier, (Father, Grandmother, and Great Grandfather of Dominique); Ida Wilson (Terry’s Grand Mother); Esther Pettengill and Perley Quigg (Ted’s family); and Irene Bradford and Rodney Harris (Patten).

Our saints from the church still speak to us!

The sermon : "Our Church Speaks!"
