Choir 

Dear Beloved Stetson Memorial Families,

Praise the Lord! We are so happy to share that our Choir has started again!
Thank you to Katie, Mary, Penny, Chrissy, River, Neveah, Amelia, and Inara for blessing us with your voices. It was wonderful, and we can’t wait for next week! Choir practice will be at 11:30 am today!

We have also been blessed to welcome new faces on Sundays since July, especially Barbara. A special thank you to Dicki Sommers for faithfully delivering the bulletin and sermon notes to Barbara each week—it was such a joy to see her in person. We also had visitors: Lee’s daughter, Leann, and Jeanne Smallwood’s family.

  

The Quilts of Valor Foundation gives quilts to veterans each year, and John and Ted were nominated to receive one by Jennifer and Don Metzger. The ceremonies were very touching, and John and Ted were surprised.

Cooperative Ministries
It was another busy and blessed Sunday. In the morning, I preached at Hodgdon, and after our Patten service, we went to the nursing home service at the Gardiner at 2:00 pm. We had a puppet show, special music, and even took pictures with the children and their pen pal friends among the residents. Thank you for understanding and supporting the ministries of these four churches! Please keep praying for the Hodgdon and Mars Hill UMC as they seek preachers every other week.


 

We had such a wonderful time at our first Cluster VBS! Thank you, Jack and Cynthia, for opening your camp to us. We had 15 adults, 6 youth, and 20 children join in the fun.

✨ Laos Mission Project:
As part of VBS and our children’s ministry, we are collecting an offering for the Laos Sunday School at our Combined Service on August 31, 2025. The mission supports school supplies and personal items for children.

If you had told me just a few months ago that I'd be standing here, actively participating in church, perhaps even joining in church karaoke, I might not have believed you! For years, I would have found every excuse not to attend. I always felt a quiet tugging at my heart, a sense that there was something more, but I constantly ignored it. The First Combined Women's Retreat in Houlton, Hodgdon, Mars Hill, & Patten UMC    Peace be with you all! God is good! All the time! United in the Spirit I can't believe it, but last Sunday, all four of our churches read Psalm 121, and the three pastors didn't even coordinate with each other! Victor and I didn't even know we were using the same sermon picture. It's truly amazing—we are all united in one Spirit! I believe there is a reason for the Han family to be serving four churches while our denomination and the New England conference are pursuing a "Cooperative Ministry." Aroostook County has so many strengths that support this ministry. We are all connected, and we need each other! Administrative Meeting & Combined Service Last Sunday, our Administrative Council met (minutes are attached).
